OCD: The Doubting Disorder

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) has been labeled over the years as “the doubting disorder,” because all OCD sufferers are involved in a very intense battle with uncertainty. There is nothing in the life of someone with OCD in which they have 100% certainty, and they always have doubt, no matter how small. That small portion of doubt can be focused on, amplified, and inflated to appear gigantically larger than it is. This constant doubting causes relentless pressure, stress, anxiety and psychic discomfort. Fortunately, treatment can reduce this incessant doubting by up to 80%, but first you have to be diagnosed.
